Anorexia nervosa (AN), often referred to simply as anorexia, is an eating disorder characterized by food restriction, body image disturbance, fear of gaining weight, and an overpowering desire to be thin.
क्षुधा अभाव (AN) एक प्रकार का आहार-संबंधी विकार है जिसके लक्षण हैं - स्वस्थ शारीरिक वजन बनाए रखने से इंकार और स्थूलकाय हो जाने का डर जो विभिन्न बोधसंबंधी पूर्वाग्रहों पर आधारित विकृत स्व-छवि के कारण उत्पन्न होता है। ये पूर्वाग्रह व्यक्ति की अपने शरीर, भोजन और खाने की आदतों के बारे में चिंतन-मनन की क्षमता को बदल देते हैं। AN एक गंभीर मानसिक रोग है जिसमें अस्वस्थता व मृत्युदरें अन्य किसी मानसिक रोग जितनी ही होती हैं।
